8 Recommended Reads for Autumn
Since it’s October and the weather is finally settling into autumn, I wanted to share some of my favorite autumn reads! I'll give a shirt blurb for each book below and if it catches your attention, click the link to see my full review.
1. Her Kind (historical fiction) - set in Ireland about the first witch trial and Alice Kytler
2. The Familiars (historical fiction) - two women face accusations of witchcraft for defying social rules
3. Melmoth (literary) - a robed figure of legend is seen wandering through time and across continents, searching for their next victim
4. Sawkill Girls (YA horror) - girls have been disappearing on the island for decades until three girls decide to take a stand. Also has a sapphic romance and ace/aro rep!
5&6. We Were Liars/Family of Liars (YA thriller) - duology about a family’s secrets and how far they’ll go to protect one another
7. Sharp Objects (thriller) - a reporter returns to her hometown to report on the murder of two girls. She must also face her childhood trauma
8. Lost Autumn (historical fiction) - a young girl joins the staff on a royal tour but things aren't as they seem. Soon the secrets that have been buried come to light; I recommend this one more for the title than the setting/plot
