Lincoln in the Bardo

I had to take some time sitting with my thoughts on this one. The book had a strange but unique writing style! The plot was clever and something I haven’t seen before especially in historical fiction.

It was a quick read because of the format, otherwise I may not have finished it. I had a hard time following what was happening since there wasn’t much of a plot. I wanted to love this and have had it on my TBR forever but it just fell flat.

I seem to be in the minority of not seeing the “poetry” or understanding what’s happening half the time.
