Pride and Prejudice

I had tried to read this years ago in college but couldn’t dedicate the time in addition to my required academic reading. I’ve seen the 2005 adaptation countless times so was already obsessed with the story and Mr Darcy!

It was just as wonderful as I had hoped. I loved the characters and how complex they were with their own shining moments/personalities. I annotated the heck out of this book! I thought this would be my favorite Austen but that prize still firmly belongs to Persuasion, maybe because it was my first Austen and holds a special place in my heart, or maybe because I did the opposite of what I normally do and watched the movie before the book for P&P. My only complaint/reason for not giving it 5 stars is because it slumped a bit in the middle and was a little difficult to read through.
