Rosie Coloured Glasses

The book had complicated characters who are not completely good or bad. One minute you cheer for them, and the next you want to shake them (which I love because it makes them so perfectly imperfect just like in reality). Story is more character driven, with beautiful descriptions of each personality or emotion. I loved the 3rd person writing style and the switches between the past and present. The plot is unique, heartbreaking and lyrical. This family really moved me and wow what an ending! Some publishers used the word “whimsical” to describe the story to maybe try and suggest it’s a lighter read but it’s not, it’s quite a sad story actually.
