Shoulder Season

This was one of the few books I preordered as I was intrigued by the concept! I enjoyed the first 1/3 but the last 2/3 were a struggle to get through. I switched to audio when I couldn’t sit and focus on the physical copy.

There’s a lot of rambling especially with Sherri’s inner thoughts. I found her to be a flat character and didn’t like her 75% of the time. She’s inconsistent and hypocritical at times. She’s one of those characters that make you shake the book screaming at them. Pacing is all over the place-it’s especially slow in the middle and then the end is rushed. For a character driven story the characters didn’t keep my attention.

I enjoyed the descriptions of the resort and life as a bunny. I had no idea there was a Playboy resort in Wisconsin so that was a fun setting!
