The Essex Serpent

The book had a slow start with some ups and downs, so it was difficult to really get (and stay) focused on. The novel is character driven and descriptive so I felt like I was there with the characters.

Lyrical writing from Perry as always; I had several passages marked and can’t wait to continue to read more from her.
I enjoyed seeing the characters and their relationships develop over time. I’m
excited to see what happens with the adaptation (especially excited for Tom Hiddleston to play William)!
