The Hobbit

The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien was a reread for me and was this month's pick for my IRL book club! I originally read The Hobbit in high school (maybe 2011 or 2012?) and loved it, giving it 5 stars.

However now that I’m older I have less patience/attention span so I didn’t love it quite as much with the meandering, descriptive writing. I couldn’t sit and read the physical book, so I did switch to the audiobook narrated by Andy Serkis (Gollum in the movies) and enjoyed it much more! It was nice reading the book again and some dialogue made me laugh, so overall a good reread I’d say!
