The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

I loved the writing style and the lyrical sentences like “ the words brush like leaves against her skin.” The story was vivid and descriptive, without being overly done. The book scenes played like a movie in my head

I also Loved the pan sexual/bisexual rep!!! It made me so happy to see.  There was some great character development- the novel is definitely a slow paced, character driven story. But it was done in a way that you stop caring and get so involved with the characters that it no longer feels slow. I’m picky with character driven stories but this one was definitely well done for my taste!

The one tiny thing that bothered me and I know it’s fantasy but, when the Sacré Cœur is featured around 1724, almost 200 years prior to it being built, this kind of large historical inaccuracy just rubbed me the wrong way.

I liked it but didn’t love it, I think simply for the emotional/mental exhaustion I was feeling last week, being sick, and the hype surrounding it.
