The Lady of the Rivers

The Lady of the Rivers was a slower read and I almost DNFd it, but I’m glad I stuck with it! After the 120 page mark it got really interesting and held my attention more. The plot is an intriguing look at the start of the Cousins’ War/War of the Roses from the POV of Jacquetta, Dowager Duchess of Bedford.

I learned a bit about Royal protocol and the line of succession. Anyone who has followed me for awhile knows I love Tudor history so this book was right up my alley. Although it started off slow and could drag at times with the descriptive details, I enjoyed it and look forward to continuing the series!
