The Song of Achilles

 I loved Miller’s other novel, Circe, and had heard such great things about this one that I had to check it out.

The book started off a bit slow but by around 100 pages, I got really into it! I Liked that we get more background on other players of the Trojan war like Agamemnon and Thetis (Achilles mother). It was also great that Patroclus got his voice heard through this retelling! So often we only hear the Trojan War and story of Achilles from the victors/heroes perspective, so this was a nice change.

The book made me cry a few times and had so much lyrical prose that moved me. I thought the ending was perfect and I even learned some new things about this so often told story of Greek Mythology!
