With Malice
I loved the alternating chapters between Jill’s POV and the media’s POV. You never knew what the truth was for most of the story, which I enjoy in thrillers/mysteries. The media POV chapters also help show the toxic side of true crime, especially when it’s used for entertainment.
I didn’t really care for either Simone or Jill, they both had their toxic issues so neither was really likable/made me want to empathize with one or the other. The ending was a bit underwhelming and not “unsettling” as blurbs seemed to suggest.
